London, New York, Paris and Milan fashion week earlier this year revealed so many different trends, and I was instantly taken by the use of "metals" in each. Metals are a thing of the 80's, but 2017 is adopting the idea and making it her own. Now, while metals were layered and layered on the runway (literally, lamé from head-to-toe), my inner basic-girl voice told me to tone it down! My pick? A rose gold selection by Lost Ink. The shoe features a wonderful scalloped design on the heel, ankle strap (of course!) and very pointed toe.
This shoe is very feminine, and has a bit of an art deco flare to it (another trend that Chanel and Balmain encased earlier this year). Rose gold is a color everyone is coveting right now, so I decided to pair these heels with a super baggy baby doll dress, head scarf, sunnies, and lots of arm candy. I wanted to go a little vintage (borderline babushka), but they are so simple, that you can pair them with anything!
These pumps are comfortable to walk in. My only issue is that they are wide-fit, and my feet are slightly narrow, so there is a bit of excess space. However, it’s not too bad when you’re walking, and it’s honestly not that noticeable. I also wish the scalloped design held up a little better as it is hard to notice. The ankle strap fits nice and snug, and although the 4 1/2 inch heels are thin, I don't feel like I'm going to lose my balance and fall over. Truth is, that I was searching long and hard for a rose gold heel that could truly win my heart, and overall, these made me fall IN LOVE!
