Now that 2017 is coming to an end, I think it appropriate to take a look back at some of the best (in my opinion) shoe trends for the year!
If you watched my fall trends Youtube video, I talked about how statement heels were a major thing during the fall. Truth is, they were a major trend all year round, and I think should continue into 2018. I love this trend so much, because it gives an added to touch to the heel, which is often ignored. Here a few examples off the runway.
Mules were all over the place. With faux fur, with a heel, or as a flat, it's safe to say this was a popular one.
Metallics, Jewels, and Glitter
This was a fun trend that will continue on, because how can you not like to make an impression? Shiny and sparkly things have never been a favorite, but this year I found myself drooling over some bright shoes. (Actual 2018 goal is to add more sparkle to my shoe-drobe).
Sling backs are classics, and although always popular, they made a huge comeback this year. Dior and Chanel made the biggest statement with there ever so popular classics.
So we left heels over 5 inches in 2016, and opted for a more realistic height in 2017. I will confess, this one wasn't my favorite, but it grew on me! This needs to join us in 2018!
2017 was so good to us when it came to shoes. There are some trends I left out (like red shoes, sock boots, and all white shoes) but these were ones I really wanted to mention. I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store!! Which ones will you carry into the new year?
