Tan Sandals

For part of this summer, I will be blogging about my favorite sandals, and I decided to kick it off with my favorite ones. These tan sandals that I purchased from ​Love Street ​are everything I could ask for in a sandal: comfort, simplicity, and a neutral color.

I have worn these sandals with jeans, dresses, leggings, and even after a workout (oops!). These are my grab and go sandals. When I first got them, I was afraid they wouldn't last because the leather feels so thin (my sister dubbed them the "Band-Aid"" sandals). However, to my surprise, I have had them for a little over a year, and they are still so sturdy! The sole is really flexible and light, so walking in them is like walking barefoot.

I found this hidden spot in Houston, and just knew this had to be the place to shoot my sandals. Summer isn't always about the sun, or water, or even a tan. Sometimes it's about embracing nature and finding peace within the shadows of a tree (especially in Houston because MY GOSH IT'S HOT). Light and airy clothing are the perfect match for my sandals, just like a cool breeze under the arms of a tree.
